UINTAH -Thomas Neil Dye, 67, of Uintah, UT passed away April 13, 2009 after a year-long struggle with melanoma. He was surrounded by his loving family and how appropriate that the train whistle blew, the train passed by and he was able to obey the call, "All Aboard!"

Neil was born October 1, 1941, the youngest of six children born to Elva Oretta Stoddard & Jonathan Samuel Dye. Neil married Leora Kay Porter in the Salt Lake Temple on August 18, 1967. They lived in the home where Neil spent his growing up years on the family farm.

Neil was a member of the Uintah 2nd Ward and served faithfully in various callings. He enjoyed doing temple work. He graduated with the Weber High School class of '59. He served in the Western States Mission 1961 -1963. Neil was a student and employee of Weber State before going to work at Hill Air Force Base where he retired after 26 years.

With trains running through Uintah daily, Neil and his grandsons had a great love for trains. He started volunteering at the Ogden Union Station in 2000, after his retirement, where he met many people who shared his love for railroading. Neil loved to work the land and planted a garden every year. Who will make the V-8 juice this summer?
