Adrian Howard Heaton 1930 ~ 2006 Adrian Howard Heaton, 76, passed away October 2, 2006 in Salt Lake City, UT. Bud, as he was affectionately called, was born in Kanab, UT. April 16, 1930 to Franklin and Flora Lundquist Heaton.
He attended Kanab High School and was student body president. He was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His first mission was to the Southern States where he met his future wife Helen. Adrian and Helen served two missions together in the SLC Mission office and as Directors of the Historic Sites in Kirtland, Ohio. He served as a Bishop, and in many Bishoprics and various other callings. He served his country in the Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Morse "Spike" and Gordon Heaton, sisters, Florine Major, Ann Marrs, and Fern Leigh.
Adrian is survived by his wife Helen Shuman McCormack, and four daughters, Linda McCormack (Ken) Henderson, Kathy McCormack (Jeff) Thompson, Teresa McCormack (Doug) Flegal, Melanie Heaton (Matt) Miner, 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, sister, Kate Ricci.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 12:00 noon at the Millcreek 2nd Ward, 4220 So. Jeannine Drive (420 East). A viewing for family and friends will be held, on Friday, October 6th from 6-8 p.m. at the Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive, and again at the church from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. prior to the funeral. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
Donations may be made in Adrian's honor to the Missionary or Perpetual Education Funds of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
