Anita Hunt Raban, 82, a resident of Tangent died at the Corvallis Good Samaritan Hospital, in Oregon, Monday, May 17, 2004.

She was born July 4, 1921. She lived in St. Johns until 1990 when she moved to Texas. For the past six months she lived with her daughter, Pawnee, in Tangent, Oregon. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed making afghans, crocheting, playing cards and dice. She was an avid gardener and loved cooking things she gathered from it.

She is survived by her sons Kenneth, Jr. of Florida, Terry "Bud" of North Carolina and Chuck of West Virginia.; daughters Sharon "Sheri" Knowles of Texas, Joni Hogle of St. Johns and Pawnee Cherry of Tangent, Oregon; 25 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. Also surviving is brother Sanford "Bob" Hunt of St. Johns.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Sheldon Hunt, Wilma Anderson, Lawanna Powell and John Hunt.
