THERESA WADSWORTH
Theresa Stewart Wadsworth, 102, of North Las Vegas, died September 22, 2003. A native Nevadan and life long resident, she was the first person born in the newly established town of Alamo, Nevada on August 19, 1901.
She married the love of her life, Earl, on October 6, 1921 in Caliente, Nevada. Earl and Theresa spent many years as cattle ranchers in Alamo and Cherry Creek. They moved to North Las Vegas in 1957 where they maintained their primary residence for the rest of their lives.
Theresa was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is survived by her daughters, Lois Higbee of Alamo, Vera Thomas of North Las Vegas, Nedra Shumway of Alamo, Sharon McCall of Las Vegas; and son, Charles of Alamo; 24 grandchildren; 79 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by and is now reunited with her daughters, Lorna Dugger and Verda as well as her beloved husband Earl.
Viewing will be at 10 a.m., immediately followed, at 11 a.m., by a funeral, Saturday, September 27, at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints Alamo Chapel located in Alamo, Nevada. Burial will be in the Alamo Cemetery (findagrave.com)
