Helen Stallings Davies 1918 ~ 2006. On Friday, October 6, 2006 our beloved mother left this earth to reunite with her husband, William Lyman Davies, who died six years ago. She was born in Lewisville, ID June 23, 1918 to Don C. and Ora Howard Stallings. She married her eternal companion in the Salt Lake LDS Temple November 21, 1938. They owned and operated the Davies Chuckwagon Diner in Lakewood, CO for approximately 25 years. It now stands as a monument to them on the National Historical Registry. They also leave a legacy from four children. She is survived by three children, Dennis (Merlue) Davies of Fort Collins, CO, Judi (DeVon) Nielsen of Layton, UT, Nancy (Terry) Tullis of Sandy, UT; daughter-in-law, Paula Davies of Lakewood, CO; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Donna Wilson and Gayle Taylor. She is preceded in death by her son, Brent Davies. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville, UT. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at the Alta View LDS Ward, 1950 E. Viscounti Drive (8600 S), Sandy, UT (access off Highland Drive/20th E), with a viewing prior to the funeral services from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Internment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
