Laurel Hamblin Watson 1923 ~ 2008 Laurel Hamblin Watson, 85, died Tuesday, March 26, 2008 at her home in Salt Lake City. She spent the last hours of her life surrounded by her family. She passed away peacefully in her sleep with her husband of 51 years, Julian, sleeping by her side. Laurel was born February 15, 1923 in Kanab, Utah to Delwin Hamblin and Sarah Broadbent. She married Julian Watson on July 25, 1947. She has always loved the red hills of Southern Utah and the mountains of the Kaibab forest. Laurel was an avid golfer and bowler and loved the time she spent with her husband and daughters enjoying these two sports. Her garden and home were her other passions. Her quick wit, positive attitude and never ending love will be missed by her family and friends. Surviving are her husband, Julian Watson and her daughters, Tym Suprise and Jana (Cameron) Miller. She has nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Laurel is preceded in death by her mother, father, sister and brother. We love you mom.
