Florence A. Wallace, 95, a life-long resident of Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 1st 2009 after a brief illness. She loved family, friends, church, dining, crafts, and gardening. She had been a member of the Vintage Voices of Elderly United, officer of her church, and an eighteen year cancer survivor. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Harold (Pete) Wallace, parents Inez and Henry Howson, sister Ethel May Howson, brothers Earl, Ernest, and Norman Howson, and grandson Jerry Roberts. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Donna and Jack Roberts of Denver, CO; son and daughter-in-law Mike and Kathy Wallace of Lewisburg, OH; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister Glenna Engle; sister-in-law Jennie Wallace; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many close friends. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 followed by services on October 7th at 2967 Columbus Avenue United Methodist Church, Springfield OH, where she was a long-time member.
