Dr. Roy E. Warner, 86, of Marshalltown, former Muscatine resident, died Wednesday morning at Marshalltown after having suffered a stroke two years ago.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home. Rev. Herbert Gotaas and Rev. Peter West will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Born May 8, 1884, at Nora, Ill., he was a son of Everett D. and Jenny C. Drew Warner. His early childhood was spent in the Canton, S. D. area.
Roy E. Warner married Julia Dibble, Dec. 30, 1908, at Canton, S.D. They moved to Muscatine in 1926. Julia Warner died in 1945. In October of 1949, Roy Warner married Edna Shellanbarger in Des Moines. She died in 1959. He later married Mrs. Faye Clarke, April 8, 1962, who preceded him in death in 1965.
Dr. Warner was graduated from the National Chiropractic College in Chicago in 1924, with a degree in Chiropractic medicine. He had practiced in Muscatine where he also owned and operated the Warner Christian Supply Center until his retirement.
He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Muscatine and a charter member of the Christian Business Men's Club of Muscatine.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Allen (Lorraine) McCormack
of Marshalltown and Mrs. Bryon (Lois) Anderson of Tacoma, Wash.; one sister, Mrs. Maude Ainsworth of Lenox, S.D.; six grandchildren; and
fou great-grandchildren.
