Funeral services for Eldah R Bryant, 67, a longtime resident of the Clemons - St Anthony communities, were held Saturday, August 5, at the Estel-Perrin Funeral Home in Marshalltown with the Rev L T Proctor officiating. Burial was in the Clemons cemetery. Mr Bryant passed away August 2 at his home.
Mr Bryant was born February 22, 1900 in Marshall county, the son of Joseph and Alma Busse Bryant. He was educated in the Liberty schools. On August 25, 1925 he was married to Thelma Buckwald in Marshalltown. Mr Bryant farmed in the Clemons-St Anthony area for many years.
He is survived by two sons, Wayne of rural Marshalltown and Donald of Marshalltown; four daughters, Mrs Ralph Collins, Hubbard; Mrs Glenn Brush, State Center; Mrs Leo Reece of Clemons and Mrs Donald Fisher of St Anthony. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs Ray Spurling of Cedar Falls. Kenneth Bryant of San Francisco, California, a nephew, was reared by the Bryants and also survives.
