BLUNT--A birthday party was held March 3, at the home of MRs. Rosa Harsin, Blunt, honoring her on her 90th birthday. The afernoon was spent taking pictures and viewing Mrs. Harsin's crocheting.
Mrs. Harsin lived in Sully County from 1905 until 1933, when she and her husband, Cecil, moved to Elk Point, where he died in 1934. She moved to Blunt five years ago, where she lives in her own home.
BLUNT--Mrs. Rosa Mae Harsin, 96, died Monday at St. Mary's Hospital at Pierre. The funeral service will be Saturday at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Pierre. She will be buried in the Blunt Cemetery. The Rev. Wilford Stanton will officiate.
She was born March 3, 1876 at Elk Point to Willard Allen and Lavina Eslick. She married Cecil Harsin at Elk Point in 1898. Mrs. Harsin moved to Blunt in 1961.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Henry Harsin, Blunt, four grandchilren, 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
