Death of Don M. Doan
Don M. Doan, Madison county resident, died at the home of his sister, Mr. C.A. Clark, southwest of Winterset, Monday, October 28 after an extended illness. The Rev. L.F. Davis conducted his funeral service which was held at the Union Chapel Church in South Township, Wednesday, October 30th, at 2:30 O'clock, and burial was in the church yard.
Mr. Doan was the oldest child in the family of William H. and Arminty Doan and was born near Patterson, November 14, 1866. He was 68 years of age at the time of his death.
He leaves one brother, Will A. Doan, of Patterson [whose] home he made his home and three sisters: Mrs. Laura Sowash of Oceola, Mrs. P.T. Knowles of Trenton, Missouri, and Mrs. C.A Clark of Winterset and five nieces and one nephew (findagrave.com)
