Robert Ellis "Bob" Clifton, 62, of Albany, OH, died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at his home.
Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Walter and Alice Ratliff Clifton.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, was a farmer and a retired maintenance repairman for Ohio University. He was a member and past master of Albany Masonic Lodge 723 F&AM, a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus and York Rite Masonic Bodies of Athens, and a member of Albany Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie Jean Clifton.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Jean Hunter Clifton;
and sisters, Phyllis (Basil) Fields of Athens and Joann (Athur) Whitt of Pilgrim Knob.
Services were held on Saturday at Albany Baptist Church with the Rev. Troy Lester officiating.
Burial followed in Bar Circle C Ranch Cemetery, with military graveside rites conducted by Albany VFW Post 93, KT Crossen American Legion Post 21 and Athens VFW Post 3477.
