Lifelong Tonawanda Resident


Anne (nee Beringer) Reisch, age 84, of Tonawanda, died Sunday, June 15, 2003, at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Born in Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Wendel and Rose (nee Sieber) Beringer and had been a lifelong resident of Tonawanda. Mrs. Reisch was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, and had worked as a waitress at Loeswick's, Uncle Mike's and then Watson's Restaurants before retiring. She was the wife of the late Chief Master Sergeant Daniel E. Reisch, 107th Air National Guard, who died in 1971, and sister of the late Wendel, Joseph and Anthony Beringer.


She is survived by a daughter, Susan (Philip) Moudy; three grandchildren, Amy Moudy (Chris Comeau), Lisa (Bradley) Paskievitch, and Kelly Moudy (Ezequiel Gomes); five brothers, John, Frank, Nicholas (Joan), W. Robert (Elvira), and Charles (Charlotte) Beringer; and three sisters, Theresa Tomaselli, Rose (Joseph) Nowak, and Helen Beringer. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.


Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, where prayers will be said at 9:30 AM Thursday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Francis Chapel on Adam Street in Tonawanda. Friends invited. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
