CITY OF TONAWANDA — Margaret (nee Prohaska) Beringer, age 88, of the City of Tonawanda, died on Wednesday, September, 4, 2013, while under the care of Hospice. Born in North Tonawanda to the late John and Anna Prohaska, she was the wife of Anthony N. Beringer who died in 1997. Margaret was a 1943 graduate of North Tonawanda High School. She had been employed as a Draftsman for the Wurlitzer Company in North Tonawanda, retiring in 1955.
She is survived by three children, Patricia R. Beringer of the Town of Wheatfield, Paul A. Beringer of Lewiston, NY, and Linda M. (David) Odden of the Town of Pendleton; three grandchildren, Eric, Adam and Allison Odden; a brother, Paul (late Lucy) Prohaska of Lockport, NY; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Catherine, Anna, Helen, Elizabeth, Sophie, Marie, Louise, John and Frank.
Family will be present on Monday, September 9, from 3-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), City of Tonawanda, where a funeral service will be held at 8 PM following the visitation. Rev. Robert J. Fink will officiate. Private burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park, Amherst, NY. Flowers gratefully declined.
