Velma Blanchard Williams, age 91, of Biloxi, passed away on March 7, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Williams, her parents, Gustave J. and Kerry K. Blanchard, and her siblings, Keller Blanchard and Irene Blanchard.
Survivors include her son, Ron (Cynthia) King, 2 grandchildren, Stephanie King Melerine, and Ron (Melissa) King, II, 6 great-grandchildren, Clinton Melerine, Jr., Ryan (Lindsi) Melerine, Megan Melerine, Lindsey King, Kelsey King, and Austin King, 3 great-great-grandchildren, Halli Melerine, Brody Melerine, and Ryan Melerine, Jr., and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Williams was active with her late husband in the South MS Chapter and South LA Chapter of the American POW's. She was an active member of the Beauvoir United Methodist Church and she enjoyed visiting and going to lunch with her friends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, from 10:30 am – 11:30 am at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. A funeral service will be at 11:30 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in the Biloxi National Cemetery.
