Note: The book "Pembroke", part of Bermudia's Bermudian Architectural Heritage Series published in 2017 by the Bermuda National Trust states that Edward "living in Georgia" sold the Olive Hill (Bermuda) property he had inherited from his father in 1861. His father died in 1847 and from 1847 till 1861 it appears from the documentation above he was in New York City, Germany, and Boston. His son John, was in Washington, Georgia in 1923 and 1924 (passport application of his daughter Margaret and correspondence to his daughter-in-law Marie). Also, one of Edward's obituaries claims he inherited a Georgia plantation from his father. I have never been able to substantiate this, although his mother's brother, Charles, had married into the Zubly family in Savannah in 1806.
