FROM FRANCE
Henri Reviere came from France by way of New Orleans. He was a noted trapper and guide and a colorful figure of the early days with his trained team of husky dogs. He was Alberta game guardian from 1911 to 1928. He owned land 22 miles south of town. He married and had a large family. Following the death of his wife some years ago he lived alone on his land near the mountains until last year, when he resided with one of his sons. Mr. Reviere is now 87 years old (findagrave.com)
