Urban Anthony Pahl Sr., 52, rt. 2, Holgate, who was a South Richland twp. farmer, died Friday at 11:10 p.m. in Defiance City Hospital where he had been a medical patient since January 25.
Mr. Pahl had been in failing health for several years and ill since November with a liver condition.
He was born in Paulding County on March 6, 1906, a son of Peter J. and Jennie (Puehl) Pahl.
He was married in St. Mar's Catholic Church here to Mary Dunscomb on November 30, 1933.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Peter J. Pahl, 735 Washington Ave.; three sons, Daniel of rt. 2, Hogate, and John and Urban Anthony Jr., both at home; three grandchildren; and five sisters, Sister M. Paula of Chicago, Mrs. Alban (Irene) Seifert of Wadsworth, Ohio, Mrs. John (Estella) Watts of Clearwater, Florida, Miss Lavina Pahl of Toledo and Mrs. Bernard (Gertrude) Coressel of Toledo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Peter J. and two sisters Verona and Amelia Pahl.
The rosary will be recited Monday at 8 p.m. in the Smith Bros.-Rupp funeral home.
Last rites will be conducted Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church by the pastor, the Rev. Gerald F Connolly. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
