Winifred (Winnie) Monte Breslawski, age 89 of Monroe, a retired administrator for Queens County Savings Bank and dedicated homemaker, died on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in New York, N.Y., May 26, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Monte. She was a longtime resident of Whitestone, Queens, N.Y. before moving to Monroe five years ago. Mrs. Breslawski was a member of the Red Hatters and a past member of the Knights of Columbus, Colum-biettes. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 57 years, John Breslawski Sr. Survivors include two sons, John Breslawski and his wife, Ann of Monroe, and Thomas Breslawski and his wife, Regina of Hollis, N.H.; five grandchildren, Heather, Paul, Steven, Adam and Craig Breslawski; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 9 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial.
