Colonel; Indian & Queen Anne's War

Tombstone is located near large church in Wethersfield Cemetery. There is one large flat stone standing on legs reading "Here lies interred the body of Col. David Goodrich who departed this life January 23 A.D. 1755 in the 88 year of his age." He shares the stone with his second wife Prudence. There are two other smaller, standing stones in front (on the church side) of the flat stone. One reads "Indian War" Captain David Goodrich, North Company, died January 23, 1755 age 87." The other reads "Queen Anne's War" Captain David Goodrich Col. Whitney's Regt. Age 87, died January 23, 1755.
