Salamanca Man Falls Under Train, Dies

Salamanca, April 16 - Attempting to board a B.R. & P. freight train at Ashford, Percy Godfrey, thirty-three, this city, was fatally injured Wednesday afternoon when he fell under the wheels of the train.

Mr. Godfrey was employed at the Indian splint furniture plant at Rochester and was boarding the train to return to that city when the accident occurred.
He was rushed to the Salamanca hospital with both legs cut off above the knee and a fractured right arm. He was met at the hospital by his wife. He died shortly after three o'clock.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his father, Frank Godfrey of Rochester.
