In "The Mayflower Ancestry of Elizabeth Ely Goodrich" Inglis Stuart lists his name as "Edward McVeigh Dunbar." But Edward's records have his middle name as "Mauran", as his father's. Edward Sr.'s stepfather was Richard McVeigh, so it's possible that Edward Sr. might have given his son his stepfather's surname as his middle name, but the records I've found have the mniddle name as "Mauran." Note also that the plaque on his grave has the surname mispelled as "Dumbar." I e-mailed the cemetery 9/13/2020 to notify them of the error (EAD).
He suffered a fatal depressed fracture of the skull, apparently hit by an automobile on 2/9/1935.
