Miss Marion Eldridge.
Miss Marion Eldridge, marine artist, whose work has been exhibited here and abroad, died today at her home on 25 East Ninth street. She was over 70 years old.
Miss Eldridge was born in India of American parents. Her father, Frederick G. Eldridge, although a citizen of the United States, was serving on a British diplomatic mission in Calcutta at the time.
An accomplished linguist, Miss Eldridge lived abroad for a considerable part of her life, spending many years in England, France, Italy, and Switzerland. She was a member of the Women's National Painters and exhibited at their art displays.
Funeral services wll be held at the Grace Church Chantry at 802 Broadway at 2 P.M. on Sunday. [Published in "The New York Sun," Friday, December 29, 1939. page 15.]
