She loved to fish, and watch football and NASCAR. She opened her own upholstery shop in Venice in the 80s and had recently been donating her time to several causes: She was an avid volunteer for the LifeLink Foundation, an organ donation organization, she served as a campground host for the Cradle of Forestry in North Carolina, and she was the Activities Coordinator at the Holiday Travel Park in Englewood. As an organ recipient she urged everyone to become an organ donor.
