My grandaunt Margaret Stuart Dunscombe (Sister Mary Michael,1886-1973) was an Anglican nun and spent time in the Philippines during the World War II era, including time as a prisoner of the Japanese. She wrote an unpublished novel centered in southeast Asia including illustrations, which are shown here.
