ieutenant Thomas Treat, son of Corporal Richard and Sarah (Coleman) Treat, was born December 12, 1668 in Wethersfield, Hartford, Connecticut. On July 5, 1693 he married at Wethersfield Dorothy Bulkeley, daugher of Dr.-Rev. Gershom and Sarah (Chauncy) Bulkeley.
Thomas and Dorothy Treat had 5 sons and 3 daughters from 1694-1710. Thomas died January 17, 1712/13 and was buried in Green Cemetery in Glastonbury. His wife Dorothy died before June 7, 1757.
