Lee Charles Burgess was born in 1888 to Charles and Emily Delphine (Andrews) Burgess. He died in 1960.
Lee was married twice. His 1st wife is believed to have been an Octavia Whittemore. They were married in July 1905, and had daughter Elizabeth in 1906. Little information is available for Octavia. It is not clear if she had died before 1912, or had divorced Lee before 1912.
Lee's 2nd wife was Ida Mary / Mae (Howland) Brown Burgess. This was Ida's 2nd marriage. She was previously married to James Ernest Brown, by whom she had 4 children. It is not clear when Ida divorced her 1st husband, but it was before, or early in 1912. Lee married Ida in 1912, according to Ancestry.com, and was married & living with his 2nd wife Ida in 1915, according to 1915 NY State Census.
Ida was descended from Capt. Myles Standish of the Mayflower, and a brother of Mayflower Passenger John Howland, which brother arrived in Plymouth, MA, on a later ship.
At least the 2 youngest of Ida's children from her 1st marriage, lived with Lee and her, and his daughter Elizabeth, according to New York State Census, and US Federal Census records.
Lee and Ida had an additional child, Wanda M. Burgess, in 1918, according to 1920 US Federal Census.
Lee's daughter Elizabeth died in 1929, before getting married, and is buried in Center Lisle Cemetery, Center Lisle, New York.
Lee is buried with his daughter Elizabeth, and his 2nd wife Ida, in Center Lisle Cemetery, Center Lisle, New York.
