Thomas was a shipwright who resided in Pembroke Parish, Bermuda. His will written 7/27/1702, probated 1/3/1710 or 1711 mentions wife Miriam, son Thomas, daughter Miriam, the wife of John Burch, and a brother Philip Dunscombe. The will is dated from Southwarke, Surrey "defending me as heir-at-law to Philip Dunscombe, and given to the said Philip Dunscombe by virtue of the last will of Thomas Jadwyn, bearing date under his hand and seal, Nov. 4, 1626... "I give and bequeath to my said son Thomas Dunscombe, land in Virginia, as well as land and houses in Southwarke, Surrey."
"Association Oath Rolls, British Plantations, 1696, Bermuda als Somer Islands in America" (www.rootsweb.com/!bmuwgw/oathrolls.html) lists two Thomas Dunscombes in Pembrook (sic) Tribe.
Thomas Dunscombe, shipwright, son and heir of Philip Dunscombe, eldest son of late Thomas and Hannah Dunscombe, 1695, May 5, power of attorney to Thomas Salter of London, re. same property as above in Southwark, as an inheritance of his great grandfather Thomas Jadwin, given in his will dater Nov. 4, 1626 to his son Robert Jadwin, for want of heirs to his grand-mother Hannah and her sister Susannah Jadwin, but both Robert and Susannah have died without issue, so property has come to Thomas (Composite Volumes of Deeds, etc., Vols. 3,1. p. 47 - Bermuda Archives)
Samuel Dunscombe states in his April 17, 1696 deposition, that Thomas Dunscombe of Bermuda, shipwright, is the eldest son and heir of Philip Dunscombe of Bermuda, and grandson of Hannah Dunscombe, with whom he lived in his minority. Also states he, Samuel, is aged about 63 and that he knew the late Philip Dunscombe to be the eldest son of the late Thomas Dunscombe and his wife Hannah, daughter of the late Thomas Jadwyn of London.

Court decision that right of inheritance belongs to defendant Thomas Dunscombe, but by the will of Thomas Jadwin, complainants have right to possession of said premises for the term specified, which has not yet run out. In 1696 Thomas Dunscombe, son of Philip, sent a power of attorney to Thomas Salter of London to take charge of his property in England left by his great-grandfather Thomas Jadwyn to his son Robert Jadwyn and then to Hannah. The witnesses (John Keele aged 77 and Samuel Dunscombe aged 63) also said that in his minority he lived with his grandmother Hannah (Bermuda National Trust Dunscombe file).
There is a 1694 court case between the executors of a Thomas Dunscombe (on behalf of his daughter Anne Dunscomb) against another Thomas Dunscombe, son of Philip Dunscombe, over a share of land in Pembroke.
A petition of 1708 regarding various local policies in existence lists two Thomas's as a general inhabitant of Bermuda (Hallet correspondence, 3/2/2001).
